Kevin and Lisa McKenzie have been a vital part of the Huntsville, Walker County community for years. You may recognize the last name, as they own and operate McKenzie’s BBQ on 11th Street. Anyone who knows the McKenzie’s, know they have always been willing to help others as well as numerous nonprofit organizations throughout the community. They have lived a life of generosity and faith. The McKenzie’s have always expressed a strong trust in God and a great love for their community.
The last few years have been particularly difficult for this generous family. COVID left their self-owned business in distress ultimately causing them to close their business in Madisonville and focus on keeping their Huntsville business functioning effectively. In the aftermath of COVID, due to the financial strain they lost their health insurance.
Recently, Lisa has been diagnosed with a grapefruit size tumor on her left adrenal gland so as expected, this tumor will need to be removed. The estimated cost for this treatment is $100,000 of which they are required to pay 60% up front in order to proceed. Please consider giving whatever you can to help them proceed with this procedure as soon as possible. While this seems like a lot of money, we know nothing is impossible with God. We also know that when we all give a little, we can accomplish a lot.
